In addition to a new storefront, Brookshire’s updated its checkstands, flooring and overall store décor.
An expanded wine section now stocks 1,300 varieties from around the world.
Brookshire’s says that customers love the new fruit and juice bar, where they can find freshly squeezed orange, apple and grape juices, along with strawberry lemonade and special juice blends.
“This store is truly unique and is one of the best remodels our company has ever completed,” said Rick Rayford, Brookshire’s president and CEO. “We believe this store represents the absolute best customers could ask for in a shopping experience, and we look forward to planning and designing similar stores in the future.”
The Line Avenue store boasts Brookshire’s most extensive health and wellness section, which includes separate areas for his and hers products.
A bulk food section — with items like granola, flour, nuts, rolled oats and quinoa — is also new.

Brookshire Grocery Co. celebrated the reopening of four Shreveport, La., Brookshire’s Food Stores in February. After 10 months of remodeling, the 55,080-square-foot Line Avenue store revealed several new features, including a full-service taco bar, freshly made flour in the upgraded bakery department, and a new dining area.
